The following days are staff training days:

• Friday 1st September
• Monday 4th September
• Tuesday 5th September.

Year 7, Year 11 and Year 12

Students from these Year groups will return to school on Wednesday 6th September. They should arrive at the following times:

8.30am – Year 7 and Year 12

9.30am – Year 11

Year 8, Year 9, Year 10 and Year 13

Students from these Year groups will return to school on Thursday 7th September. They should arrive at the following times:

8.30am – Year 8 and Year 13

9.30am – Year 9

11.50am – Year 10.

Times of the day

I would just like to remind you of the new times of the day from September. All students should aim to be at school for 8.30am, with the gate closing at 8.35am. Students who arrive after 8.35am will be marked as late and receive a late detention.

All year groups now have the same finish time from September, with the following being the times they finish on each day:

• Monday – 2.50pm
• Tuesday – 3.50pm
• Wednesday – 3.50pm
• Thursday – 3.50pm
• Friday – 2.50pm

Please note that these times include all enrichment and intervention activities. If we run additional extra-curricular activities outside of these times then we will contact you in advance to invite your child to participate, and these will always be optional.

Entrances to the school

Due to growing numbers lower down school we will have to change the entrances students use from September. These will be as follows:

Year 7 and Year 8 – please enter through the Community Entrance by the sports hall. If being dropped off by car, the main school car park must be used to avoid dangerous parking on Croxton Road. Students who cycle to school can lock their bikes in the bike park at the front of the school.

Year 9 – please enter through the gate off Tennyson Way. Students who cycle can lock their bikes in the bike park inside the school gate. Please do not park on the grass or wait on the roadside on Tennyson Way.

Year 10 – please enter through the canteen. If being dropped off by car, the car park next to The Hub off Croxton Road must be used to avoid dangerous parking on Croxton Road. Students who cycle to school can lock their bikes in the bike park at the front of school.

Year 11 – please enter through the front gate by the school canteen. If being dropped off by car, the car park next to The Hub off Croxton Road must be used to avoid dangerous parking on Croxton Road. Students who cycle to school can lock their bikes in the bike park at the front of school.

Sixth Form – please enter through the Sixth Form entrance next to the school canteen.
